Is Pfizer the Best Employer in Poland in 2025?
Pfizer is widely regarded as one of Poland’s leading pharmaceutical employers in 2025. However, student and professional surveys continue to show a strong preference for homegrown companies.
Forbes Polska’s 2025 list of Poland’s Best Employers crowned Adamed Pharma the #1 pharma/biotech employer for the third consecutive year. Polpharma, Poland’s largest drugmaker, also consistently ranks near the top. In Universum’s 2023 student survey, it was placed 3rd overall as an “employer of dreams” among science students. Pfizer, by contrast, rarely leads such rankings. In Universum and other talent rankings, local champions and even some multinationals (Microsoft, Google, etc.) consistently outrank it.
In short, Pfizer’s reputation as an emploer of choice in Poland is well established, but whether it can be called the country’s best employer remains open to debate.
Pfizer’s Position in Employer Rankings and Awards in Poland
Pfizer Poland may not lead every employer ranking, but it has accumulated a solid set of credentials. The company earned a Top Employers Institute certification for 2024 and a “Friendly Workplace” award in 2025, reflecting sustained efforts to strengthen its internal culture. Independent assessments frequently highlight Pfizer’s development programs and inclusive workplace practices.
These include structured internal training initiatives such as “Sell Like a Challenger”, a mentoring program under the PACTT-Pfizer Academy focused on scientific innovation and a 10-week fully paid paternity leave.
In Universum’s Global Polish student survey of the “Most Attractive Employers,” Pfizer was placed #7 in 2023 and #6 in 2024 within the Health/Medicine category. Notably, it was also placed #1 nationwide among Natural Sciences students, marking a significant improvement compared to previous years.

The company also places a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion. In 2020, Pfizer Poland was the only pharmaceutical company singled out in Deloitte’s Diversity Rating as a top diversity leader, and it gained the “Diversity IN Check” recognition as one of Poland’s most advanced organisations in inclusion practices.
These recognitions point to a company that is well regarded for its approach to employee development and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion).
Pfizer Employee Reviews: Strengths and Challenges in Poland
Employees often point to concrete workplace perks. Pfizer runs an annual “Growth Week” of training events and maintains an online wellbeing platform (in Polish and English) offering workshops, meditation, and unlimited access to therapists. On Glassdoor, Pfizer holds a 3.8/5.0 rating based on more than 8000 reviews, with employees frequently praising compensation and support. Commenters commonly mention “good benefits” and “good pay” relative to the Polish market.
Pfizer also provides broad development resources, including a “Talent Marketplace”, secondment opportunities, and access to remote-friendly global roles. The company was named a FlexJobs Top-100 Remote Company in 2021. Its U.S. operations routinely score 100% on equality indices (for LGBTQ+ and disability inclusion), reflecting a culture that is promoted globally, with several initiatives (such as the Neurodiversity Colleague Community mentoring program) also present in Poland.
At the same time, employee feedback is not uniformly positive. Glassdoor reviewers note “poor management” and “constant restructurings and layoffs” as downsides at Pfizer. Workloads are also described as demanding. While employees often praise compensation and colleagues (“great people” is a common phrase), job security and organisational bureaucracy are cited as ongoing concerns.
These mixed reviews hint that Pfizer Poland’s employee appeal can vary considerably by department and role.

Battling for Top Talent in Poland’s Pharma Industry in 2025
Within the pharmaceutical sector, Pfizer operates in an increasingly competitive talent environment. Forbes’s analysis implies that employee engagement at Adamed outperforms that of multinational peers, while multiple surveys point to a persistent home-market advantage for local employers.
Across 2024 and 2025, tech giants (Google, Microsoft) and banks (PKO BP, ING) have also topped cross-industry employer rankings in Poland, leaving firms like Pfizer to compete mainly in the sectoral category. Other pharma multinationals (e.g. Roche, Novartis, Sanofi) maintain strong operations in Poland, yet none has consistently claimed the #1 “pharma employer” title position. That distinction is most often held by Adamed or Polpharma.
Thus, in lists of Poland’s best employers, Pfizer often appears among the shortlisted companies but rarely occupies the top position, particularly in student preference rankings.
Pfizer Poland: A Top-Tier Employer, But Not the Leader in 2025
Pfizer Poland checks most boxes for what today’s workforce wants: global brand, investment in training, modern DEI policies, hybrid options, and competitive pay. It is certified as a Top Employer and wins awards for its culture. From an employee-experience perspective, Pfizer is widely viewed as a high-quality employer.
At the same time, popularity and preference metrics tell a more nuanced story. Top pharma rankings and student surveys suggest companies like Adamed and Polpharma still hold the crown in Poland.
This gives a clear conclusion. While Pfizer is undoubtedly among Poland’s better employers in 2025, the evidence does not support labelling it the country’s best outright. Until Pfizer consistently matches or surpasses local leaders in national talent rankings, its standing remains “among the best,” rather than the benchmark against which all others are measured.
